Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Last updated: July 9, 2026
If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have the right to direct us not to sell or share your personal information. This page explains that right and how to exercise it.
We do sell and share personal information. PolicyHulk is a lead-generation service. When you submit a quote request, we transmit your information to third-party partners and we receive compensation for it. Under the CCPA/CPRA, that is a "sale" and a "share." We are telling you plainly rather than burying it.
What we sell or share
| Category | Examples | Sold / shared with |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Name, email, phone, postal address, IP address | Insurers, agents, lenders, contractors, lead exchanges, ad networks |
| Commercial information | Products you requested quotes for | Marketing partners, lead exchanges |
| Internet activity | Pages viewed, referring ad, campaign parameters | Analytics and advertising providers |
| Geolocation | ZIP code, approximate location from IP | Marketing partners, ad networks |
| Inferences | Likely interest in a product category | Advertising providers |
| Sensitive information | Approximate income, credit range, health-coverage and Medicare status | Licensed agents and partners you asked to be matched with |
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
How to opt out
1. Submit a request
Email contact@topzmedia.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share Request", or use our contact form and select the "Do Not Sell / Privacy Request" topic. Include the name, email address and phone number you used on the site so we can locate your record.
We will process your request within 15 business days of receipt, as required by California law, and we will not discriminate against you for making it.
2. Use an opt-out preference signal
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser or extension transmits a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information from that browser. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org.
3. Authorized agents
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will require written proof of the authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly.
Your other rights
- Right to know what personal information we collected, the sources, the purpose, and the categories of third parties we disclosed it to.
- Right to access a copy of your personal information in a portable format.
- Right to delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information.
- Right to appeal a denial of your request, where your state law provides for it.
An important limitation
Opting out stops future sales and sharing by PolicyHulk. It does not retract information already transmitted to partners, and it does not stop those partners from contacting you. They are independent businesses that control the data they received. To stop their contact you must:
- Ask each company directly to remove you from its lists and to honor its own do-not-sell process, and
- Register your number with the National Do Not Call Registry, and
- Revoke your consent to be contacted — see Consent to Contact & TCPA Disclosure.
