This page sets out our licensing status and the product-specific disclosures that apply to each category of offer presented on PolicyHulk.

Our status

PolicyHulk is not licensed as an insurance producer, agency or broker; is not a bank, lender, mortgage broker, mortgage loan originator or correspondent lender; is not a debt relief, debt settlement or credit repair organization; is not a credit counseling agency; is not a law firm; and is not a licensed contractor.

PolicyHulk is an advertising and lead-generation platform. We collect quote requests and transmit them to licensed third parties. All licensed activity — soliciting, negotiating or selling insurance, originating loans, negotiating with creditors, and performing construction work — is conducted exclusively by those third parties, under their own licenses, in the states where they are authorized.

Where a state requires a lead generator to register or hold a license, we obtain it. Registration or licensing information is available on request at contact@topzmedia.com.

Insurance disclosures

Quotes are provided by third-party insurers and licensed agents. PolicyHulk does not underwrite, issue, bind or administer any policy, does not make coverage or claims determinations, and does not guarantee coverage, eligibility or price. All coverage is subject to the terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions of the policy actually issued. Rates are not guaranteed and are subject to underwriting.

Medicare disclosures

Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement and Part D plans are offered by private insurance companies with Medicare contracts. Enrollment depends on plan contract renewal. Enrollment in a described plan may be limited to certain times of the year unless you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period. Submitting a request on this site does not enroll you in any plan; enrollment is completed only with a licensed agent or directly with the plan.

Health insurance (under 65) disclosures

PolicyHulk is not HealthCare.gov, is not a state-based health insurance exchange, and is not affiliated with any government agency. You may enroll in an ACA marketplace plan directly and without charge at HealthCare.gov or through your state exchange. Subsidy and premium tax credit eligibility is determined by the marketplace, not by us. Short-term, limited-duration plans and other non-ACA products are not required to cover essential health benefits and may exclude pre-existing conditions.

Mortgage, cash-out refinance and HELOC disclosures

PolicyHulk is not a lender and does not make credit decisions or loan commitments. We do not charge consumers for our service. Nothing on this site is an offer or a commitment to lend. All rates, terms, fees, loan amounts and approvals are determined by the lender, are subject to credit approval, verification of income and assets, property appraisal, applicable loan-to-value limits and program guidelines, and may change without notice.

These are loans secured by your home. If you fail to make required payments, you may lose your home through foreclosure. Consolidating unsecured debt into a mortgage or home equity line converts that debt into debt secured by your residence, and may increase the total interest paid over the life of the loan. HELOC interest rates are typically variable and your payment may increase, particularly when the draw period ends and the repayment period begins.

Debt relief disclosures

PolicyHulk is not a debt relief provider, debt settlement company, credit repair organization, credit counseling agency or law firm, and we do not provide legal, tax, financial or credit repair advice.

Debt relief programs are offered by third-party companies and carry material risks. Programs that instruct you to stop paying creditors will typically cause your accounts to become delinquent, will adversely affect your credit score, and may result in collection activity, additional fees and interest, and lawsuits from creditors. Not all debts are eligible, not all consumers complete their programs, and not all creditors agree to negotiate. Forgiven or cancelled debt may be treated as taxable income by the IRS. Program fees, savings and timelines vary by provider and by state, and are disclosed by the provider, not by us. No outcome is guaranteed. Consider consulting a nonprofit credit counseling agency, a tax professional and an attorney before enrolling.

Home services disclosures

PolicyHulk does not perform, supervise, inspect, warrant or guarantee any home improvement work, and is not a party to any contract between you and a contractor. Contractors in our network are independent businesses. Inclusion in the network is not an endorsement, certification or guarantee of licensing, insurance, bonding, workmanship, pricing or safety.

Before you hire anyone: independently verify the contractor's license with your state or local licensing board, obtain a current certificate of insurance naming you, check references and reviews, get at least three written bids, and never pay in full up front. Get the scope, materials, timeline, payment schedule and warranty in a signed written contract.
